The Golf Loft is an upscale indoor golf and entertainment destination blending golf and hospitality.
Our original Hanover, PA location features 4 Trackman bays, club fittings, instruction, and membership options.
Our flagship 13,000 square foot location in State College, PA boasts 10 Trackman bays, a full bar and kitchen, PuttView, Dartsee, and a 7,000 square foot front patio overlooking Beaver Stadium.
We currently have 10+ locations in development throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
Role Description
The Starter at The Golf Loft – State College is a front-facing hospitality role responsible for welcoming guests, managing simulator flow, and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.
Starters play a critical role in setting the tone of the facility, assisting with reservations and check-ins, supporting simulator operations, and acting as a key communication link between guests, servers, bartenders, and management.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced, entertainment-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Operations
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage simulator bay flow, reservations, and walk-ins
- Check guests in and explain simulator rules and experiences
- Assist guests with Trackman technology and basic troubleshooting
- Ensure bays and common areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to support service flow
Sales & Engagement
- Promote memberships, leagues, events, and special offerings
- Answer guest questions about services, pricing, and gameplay options
- Help create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere aligned with The Golf Loft brand
Compliance & Standards
- Uphold The Golf Loft brand standards for service, professionalism, and appearance
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using basic technology and POS systems
- Golf knowledge is a plus but not required
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
